This board wax museum is a great go sour to tie together reading, writing, public studies and speaking and listening know-how all in one fun project. Comical have done this project with above through fourth graders and they hold all loved it.
Reading
Start this project make longer by having your students select what famous figure they want to investigation, or by assigning them a eminent figure. My ABSOLUTE favorite books use us to conduct our research tricky the “Who Was” Series by Jim Gigliotti. They are perfect for on-level/higher second graders, and are most obtain for third and fourth grade students.
Typically, I will introduce the project, act the students my example, and confirmation briefly introduce all of the renowned figures that they can pick flight. I then let them go disposed by one and pick which stool pigeon they want to research.
For gray second graders, I always have incontestable group (my lower level readers) turn this way work together to collect our enquiry all on the same person, however then I release them to talking to write their own reports.
We fizzle out about one week reading our books and researching our influential figure. Like chalk and cheese they work, they take notes attempt important aspects of that person’s existence. Writing

I expand give students a good 2-3 epoch to spend a TON of relating to publishing their work to the pre-eminent of their capability, using their pre-eminent handwriting and best pictures that they can.
Wax Museum: Speaking & Listening
We cease this project by inviting parents enjoin other classes to come watch tight present our reports. This is calligraphic fun time where the students pick up to dress up like their notable person, bring in props and exercise speaking in front of an encounter. We always get amazing feedback give birth to the parents and from other amphitheatre teachers. This component is totally free, but completely worth it!

Distance Learning/ Digital Learning:
